BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 A.M.) – A big battle is brewing in northeast Syria, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their tribal allies prepare to storm the key town of Ma’adan.

For several days, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies have been approaching Ma’adan from a number of axes, liberating town-after-town from the Islamic State (ISIL) terrorists occupying this area.

With their units at the outskirts of Ma’dan, the Syrian Army’s High Command has sent reinforcements to this front in order to ensure victory against the terrorist group.

Leading the charge on Ma’dan will be the elite Tiger Forces; they will also be joined by the Raqqawi tribesmen and 124th Regiment of the Republican Guard.

If the Syrian Army’s attack proves successful, the entire southeastern pocket of Al-Raqqa should fall shortly after the liberation of Ma’adan.

I hope the SAA is operating on better intelligence than us internet denizens, because I’ve seen multiple people here and at SouthFront say they should just put the town under siege and move on; it’ll be long and costly to take outright and they don’t really need to.

The SAA should use some thermobarics bombs. Rats like it very much, so they run uncovered. Then bullet party 🙂

More seriously, siege why not. Depending on priorities.

Did you realize that the information about planned SAA actions posted on Almasdar and other sites often were incorrect? This is to disinform the terrorists. The real attacks most often come where they are not expected.
