The Kurdish YPG have announced that they have withdrawn from the northern Syrian town of Manbij after it was only captured from ISIS two weeks ago.

The YPG command have announced in a statement that they have withdrawn to their bases and will leave control of the town to the Manbij Military Council with only Arab members of the YPG-led SDF to remain in the town.

It is yet to be seen if these YPG fighters will now engage with Turkish forces and their Islamist proxies who are conducting Euphrates Shield operation.

Fake. no way would the Kurds surrender a hard-won city due to the neo-ottoman empire.

Its real Daesh nor the Kurds are stupid enough Turkish elite force with huge amounts of firepower. Kurds and Daesh would have been annihlated if they stayed in Manbij and Jabarlus respectively.
Plus Kurds have to deal in Hassakah. With the Daesh and Kurdish fighters crossing the Euphrates it will become a lot more violent Hassakah.

The Kurds need to get out of this war as fast as possible, and instead only focus on protecting themselves to get in a good negotiating position in the peace, because no one will give a s**t about them.

If they get tricked by for example USA to fight, they will just demolish their chances of living in peace. Instead they should focus on creating better relations with their neighbours despite their differences.

A win for uniting of the Syrian people, “The YPG command have announced in a statement that they have withdrawn to their bases and will leave control of the town to the Manbij Military Council with only Arab members of the YPG-led SDF to remain in the town.”
