The Kurdish led People’s protection units carried out a new operation inside the Afrin region of northwestern Aleppo this week.
According to the official media wing of the YPG, one of their sleeper cells ambushed a group of Turkish backed rebels during the afternoon hours on September 5.

“On September 5th, our forces carried out a successful operation in the Dikmedash village of Afrin’s Shera district, targeting a military vehicle belonging to the Levant Front mercenary fraction. One of the mercenaries was responsible for the economical interests of the Levant Front in occupied Afrin and was selling the olives, houses and belongings that mercenaries had stolen from Afrin’s people.
As a result of action, two mercenaries were killed and two others, including the mentioned one, were wounded. The vehicle itself was completely destroyed.
The names of mercenaries killed and wounded are as follows: Hussein Elito (from Tel Rifaat), Mazen Chawish (Damascus), Omar Kino (Azaz) and Abdulrahman al-Jadir (Jerablus).”
