Yemeni army forces and popular committees continued their advance in the province of Ma’rib and confronted US-Saudi coalition attempts to progress towards the province, Yemeni military media reported on Wednesday.
The forces managed to cleanse large areas in the mountain region of Ma’rib, where they chased Takfiri terrorists who were trying to sneak towards the region. As a result of these operations, the Yemeni forces succeeded in seizing control of new areas in the region.
Yemeni sources said the army and committees controlled Al-Hathira Saudi post in Jizan, and information confirmed the destruction of four Saudi military vehicles during the control of the site.
Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 183 days now to restore power to fugitive president Abed Rabbu Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 6,161 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.
Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah resistance fighters, who are warding off the foreign occupation of their country, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
