The Yemeni Army’s Republican Guard and Popular Committees announced on Wednesday that they were in full control of the Shabaka Military Post which overlooks the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
Military sources reported that dozens of Saudi-led forces were killed and injured during the fierce clashes that erupted before the control of the post.
Earlier on Tuesday, at least 70 Saudi-led forces were killed and another 100 were injured when the Yemeni forces fired a ballistic missile at an important military installation in the Al-Jawf Governorate.
A Yemeni military source said that the Rocket Battalion in the Yemeni Army and fired a Tochka missile at the Saudi military installation, noting that among the killed and the injured were a number of commanders.
The source told Yemeni news agency, Sabaa, that many commanders, including foreigners, were at the complex that was destroyed.
