On Monday evening in the Ta’iz Governorate of western Yemen, the Yemeni Army’s Republican Guard – backed by the Houthis and popular committees – reportedly imposed full control of Dhubab City in the Dhubab Directorate after a violent battle with the Saudi-led Coalition and Hadi loyalists.

The news from Dhubab comes just 48 hours after the Houthis and Republican Guard forces seized Jabal Shabakah in the Dhubab Directorate from the loyalist fighters.

Yesterday, military advisors from the 48th Brigade of the Republican Guard completed their tour of the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, further confirming the absence of Saudi-led Coalition forces near Taiz City.
