On Saturday morning, the Houthi-led forces announced that they took full control of a strategic mountain near the coastal province of Taiz.
Speaking to the Yemeni media Al-Masirah, a military source said that the Yemeni Army, backed by Popular Committee fighters imposed full control of Jabal Shabakah located at the coastal Dhubab district after clashes with the exiled president’s National Army and Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), supported by “Blackwater” mercenary forces.
This successful military operation was completed during a time of a heavy aerial bombardment by the Saudi Royal Air Force.
The source confirmed that pro-Hadi and Coalition forces have suffered a significant number of casualties, with dozens of mercenaries reportedly killed and wounded fighting at Jabal Shabakah.
Additionally, the Yemeni Army & Popular Committees have destroyed many Coalition military vehicles during the battle.
It’s noteworthy that Coalition and Hadi forces have recently suffered a decrease in morale after the “Blackwater” mercenaries reportedly announced that they will be pulling out from the Omari front in the Dhubab district as Houthi forces are advancing towards the coastal Dhubab town and southwards to the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait.
