SANA’A, YEMEN (12:20 P.M.) – Frontlines remain active both in Yemen and in neighbouring border regions of Saudi Arabia as violent clashes between Yemeni forces and Saudi-led Arab coalition continue.
In Taiz province, southern Yemen, fighters of the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement repelled an attack by pro-Saudi forces on the Republican Palace area and thwarted an infiltration attempt west of Al-Tashrifat military camp. Heavy clashes lasted several hours ending in retreat of the attackers after they had suffered high casualties.
Likewise, a missile division of Yemeni Army loyal to Sana’a government launched a “Zilzal-2” type surface-to-surface missile towards gathering of Saudi-backed forces in Mouwaza’ district:
Meanwhile, Houthis and allied units of Yemeni Republican Guard continue harassing Saudi Army in the border regions of Saudi Arabia.
Thus, in Najran province, Yemeni forces successfully ambushed a Saudi vehicle killing soldiers inside and burning it afterwards:
In Asir province, Yemeni artillery targeted gatherings and fortified positions of Saudi military in Al-Jawazat area and at Ulab border crossing. No information on casualties is currently available.
