BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 A.M.) The Israeli Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes over the western countryside of Damascus this week, targeting an alleged Iranian ammo storage inside the town of Qatana.
The Israeli warplanes managed to hit its intended targets in western Damascus, causing a number of explosions that could be heard throughout the capital.
During the Israeli attack on western Damascus, the Syrian military activated their air defenses in order to repel the missiles that were fired from the IAF’s warplanes along the Lebanese border.
The Syrian air defenses did intercept several Israeli missiles, including one of the projectiles below:
As shown below, many of the air defense missiles also failed to intercept the Israeli projectiles, despite being launched by the Syrian military on a number of occasions that night:
Israel has acknowledged that it was their air force that carried out this powerful attack on western Damascus this week.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu applauded the attack, while vowing to launch more strikes against Iran inside of Syria.
