BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The Russian Ministry of Defense released footage on Saturday morning of their air force destroying several Islamic State (ISIL) sites near the strategic town of ‘Uqayribat in east Hama.

As seen from the footage above, the Russian Air Force was specifically targeting the Islamic State’s positions in the central region of Syria.

In particular, the Russian Air Force targeted the Islamic State’s position along the Deir Ezzor-Resafa Road, which is an imperative pathway in central Syria.

With the Islamic State expelled from ‘Uqayribat, the Syrian Arab Army can now shift their attention to the Deir Ezzor front, as they look to regain all of the territory occupied by ISIL.
