BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:03 P.M.) – Dozens of women staged a protest demanding an end to the war in Yemen just outside the United Nations headquarters Sanaa, to coincide with International Women’s Day on Wednesday.
The women demanded the lifting of the de-facto blockade imposed by the Saudi-led coalition.
They also held signs calling on local and international organizations to stand by the Yemeni people and help provide for their food and medical needs.
Mason Iryani, a Yemeni human rights activist, in speaking with Ruptly said: “We came out today to send a message to the world, the United Nations and the whole world to stop their blockade of Yemen and let the Yemeni people live. Yemeni women have suffered enough.”
