BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:30 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) recently liberated several areas along the border of the occupied Golan Heights after a fierce battle with the Islamic State affiliated Jaysh Khaled bin Walid forces.
Led by their Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army kicked off their advances, yesterday, by liberating the small town of Ghadir Al-Bustan in the southern countryside of the Al-Quneitra Governorate.
Ghadir Al-Bustan was originally under the control of the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) Southern Front Brigades; however, they handed it over to the Islamic State before they fled the area earlier this month.
Following the capture of Ghadir Al-Bustan, the Syrian Arab Army liberated several areas near the key border town of Saida.
The Syrian Army is now at the outskirts of Saida, where they are hoping to launch a big attack to capture this imperative town in the coming hours.
