BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:20 A.M.) -The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched an important assault this morning that targeted the last Islamic State (ISIS) stronghold in southwest Syria.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces branch, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the ISIS stronghold of Shajarah from three different axes.
The Syrian Army was able to attack Shajarah this morning after liberating the nearby town of ‘Aabdeen, which is located northwest of this ISIS stronghold.
At the same time, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division and several former rebels from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) have begun storming the eastern axis of the ISIS-held of Qusayr in the Yarmouk Basin region.
According to a military source in Daraa, the Syrian Arab Army should be able to take control of both Qusayr and Shajarah in the next 24 hours, as the ISIS-affiliated Jaysh Khaled bin Walid forces are confined to only a small portion of the Daraa Governorate.
Furthermore, the terrorist forces have nowhere to retreat and the Syrian Army has not offered to evacuate them to another front.
Since ISIS holds little territory around Syria, the Jaysh Khaled bin Walid terrorists have no choice but to either surrender or face death at the hands of the Syrian Army.
