DAMASCUS, SYRIA (8:40 P.M.) – Failaq Al-Rahman, a Free Syrian Army (FSA) faction, published a video on Wednesday depicting their militants blowing up a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) sniper nest in the Jobar district on the East Ghouta frontline.
Hiding behind sand bags, an FSA militant fired a SPG-9 rocket launcher at the SAA gun position, supposedly scoring a direct deadly hit in the process:
In a separate incident, a SAA tank and depot was blown up by the same FSA faction in Al-Qaboun, a neighboring suburb in eastern Damascus.
Despite some human losses, the SAA’s 4th Mechanized Division and 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard continue to advance through Al-Qaboun, capturing some ten buildings on average each day with many FSA and Al-Qaeda affiliated fighters giving up their arms.
Meanwhile, rebel infighting continues to rage through the East Ghouta, pitting Jaish Al-Islam against the FSA, Ahrar Al-Sham and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
