At least 25 fighters have been killed and injured (initial report) as Syrian fighter jets pummeled a convoy and ammo depot Khan Sheikhoun, Idlib southern countryside.
The targeted area is the stronghold of the ISIS-affiliated Islamic State Jund al-Aqsa.
Local sources reported a huge explosion following the airstrikes, which might have been caused by a VBIED equipped by the group. Dozens of trucks and vehicles were destroyed by the attack.
Khan Sheikhoun was swept by Jund al-Aqsa hardline militants, who now fully control the town following bloody battles with rival rebel forces.
According to reports, some 200 fighters from the Nusra group and other actions were killed by Jund al-Aqsa in the clashes during February.
