BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:10 A.M.) – Footage has been released on social media by the media wing of the pro-government Qalamoun Shield Forces paramilitary group showing its troops advancing against besieged ISIS militants in the eastern countryside of Hama Governorate
Following the official rejection of any deal to see their forces transferred from central Syria to Deir Ezzor Governorate, some ISIS commanders continue to fight against the Syrian Arab Army.
In any case, the situation for ISIS in central Syria is now, on the whole, completely hopeless as jihadist militants there find themselves completely encircled and outnumbered by a factor of about ten.
The footage shown below is linked to yesterday’s operation by the Qalamoun Shield Forces to liberate the town of Abu Hanaya from ISIS. The pro-government paramilitary group can be seen deploying storming troops as well as range of light fire support weapons and tanks to drive Islamic State militants from the town.
