DAMASCUS, SYRIA (04:15) – Video footage has surfaced showing units of the elite Syrian Fourth Armoured Division gearing up for an upcoming offensive in East Ghouta.

Commanders of the 4th Armoured Division, an elite unit of the Syrian Arab Army, have vowed to liberate all of Harasta district from militant rebel control. Harasta is an important hub of rebel activity and is close to the Syrian capital of Damascus. It was from Harasta that militants launched their unsuccessful attempt to take a key East Ghouta armoured vehicle base a few weeks ago.

Reports have it that huge reinforcements have been sent to the area of Harasta recently, most of them coming in from Hama and Homs governorates, where they had participated in operations against ISIS over the past year.
