DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:15 P.M.) – Having expelled the Islamic State from several towns in southwest Syria, the Syrian Army fully secured the area following a quick mop-up operation.
Tour footage was posted showing the recently liberated towns of Sayda al-Jolan, Lubaid, Um Loqos, Ghadir al-Bustan and al-Sukariyah; all located in the far southern countryside of Quneitra.
The aforementioned towns were originally held by FSA-linked groups, but surrendered to ISIS after those groups were either evacuated or enrolled into reconciliation agreements.
The Syrian Army regained control of the towns following heavy battles with the terror group.
The 5-minute video features a headquarter for rebel groups, as well as a prison used to detain the kidnapped.
