BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:40 P.M.) – After days of successfully repelling jihadist assaults against their newly gained positions atop the Tal Bardiyah mountain chain, Syrian Arab Arab troops have now renewed offensive operations against terrorist forces in the Beit Jinn region of Damascus’ western countryside.

Today, the Syrian Arab Army, led by the crack 4th Mechanized Division, continued offensive operations against Al-Qaeda-linked jihadists in West Ghouta, storming militant positions that defend the approaches towards the imperative town of Magher al-Meir.

Army forces conducted their latest assault under cover of a powerful artillery bombardment involvement both large-caliber guns and heavy rockets (including the Golan 300 system). The barrage is reportedly still ongoing.

Military-affiliated sources claim that today alone, the Syrian Army managed to kill ten jihadist militants and destroy two technicals armed with heavy machine guns.

Furthermore, army media authorities released footage of Syrian forces engaging and destroying a jihadist-commandeered armored bulldozer attempting to raise trenches north of Magher al-Meir.
