HAMA, SYRIA (3:00 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jund Al-Aqsa (Al-Qaeda franchise), backed by the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Jund Al-Sham (Chechen jihadist group), launched an offensive on Tuesday, targeting the Syrian Arab Army controlled village of Ma’an near Kawkab.

Disregarding the ceasefire agreement, the rebel forces stormed the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses these last two days, resulting in a number of intense clashes that finally concluded this morning.

Jund Al-Aqsa and their allies were unable to breach the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses at every axis they attacked; this resulted in the subsequent failure of their assault and the high loss of life for their military personnel.

Russian Today released footage of the battle, showing the Syrian Armed Forces combatting the jihadist rebels in the northern Hama countryside:

Clashes have dissipated since the morning hours; however, Jund Al-Aqsa and their allies continue to target the Syrian Armed Forces’ defenses with mortar shells and rockets.
