BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:30 P.M.) – Video footage has emerged showing the operation by Syrian pro-government forces that led to the capture of the town of Hamrat near the Homs-Hama provincial border in the countryside around Ar-Rastan city on Sunday.

The footage clearly shows the concentrated use of armor and artillery assets by the Syrian Army and allied paramilitary forces against the positions of rebel groups in newly developing operation.

Specifically, pro-government forces can be seen using T-55 and T-72 main battle tanks as well as a range of artillery pieces including truck-mounted 57-mm field guns, heavy mortars and storming guns.

On Monday morning, the Syrian Army scored another advance along the Homs-Hama border. A map and information covering this advance can be found here.
