A wounded ISIS militant was captured alive by the Syrian Army after foiling jihadists’ attack on Athrya-Resafa road to the southwest of al-Raqqa.
The terror group launched, yesterday, an overnight counteroffensive against Army positions in Thawrah Oil Fields and Athrya-Resafa road.
A field reporter accompanying the military campaign confirmed the Syrian Army withdrew from Thawrah Oil Fields to avoid unnecessary casualties, and repelled the attack on the other battlefront.
Yesterday, the Syrian Armed Forces, backed by the paramilitary Desert Hawks fighters, recaptured Thawrah Oil Fields and the Workers’ Housing area after fierce battles with the terror group.
