On Tuesday, units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) detonated a roadside bomb on an unsuspecting vehicle of Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham fighters traveling northeast of Daraa city.
The jihadist group suffered 6 casualties due to the IED attack which occurred on the road between Al-Ghariyah and Khirbet Ghazale.
According to Al-Masdar News reporter Ibrahim Joudeh, the pickup truck was heading towards the nearby rebel-held Al-Kahraba checkpoint.
Meanwhile, skirmishes were less intense in the provincial capital of Daraa as the frontline situation around the Al-Manshiyah district has reached a stalemate.
In the countryside west of Daraa, an ISIS-affiliated group has caused great discrepancy among rebel ranks as at least 174 opposition fighters have died since ‘Jaysh Khaled bin Waleed’ began a large-scale offensive on February 20.
