Sanaa, Yemen (2:10 A.M.) – The Saudi Air Force carried out 45+ airstrikes in a short period of time over the Yemeni capital on Tuesday, killing and wounding a large number of civilians.

The Saudi airstrikes targeted the densely populated residential neighborhoods of Sanaa, along with crowded markets and government buildings.

Locals in Sanaa posted exclusive footage of the destruction caused by the Saudi airstrikes (video below):

In response to these Saudi airstrikes, the Houthi and Yemeni forces fired a number of rockets and missiles into the Jizan Region of Saudi Arabia tonight, causing severe damage to local military installations.

Few ManPADS are effective over 3500m high, 1 or 2 are supposed to be able to get a plane at 4000/4500m, maybe 5000m (VERY unlikely, maybe against a slow flying drone?), thus, countermeasures work VERY WELL : once soviets installed countermeasures, ManPADS became near useless in Afghanistan. A F-15 has no problem to fly @20,000m high, in fact, a lightened of anything useless one broke the world height record for a jet aircraft flying near 31km high!!! F-15 can fly @Mach 2.5 (well, not so if you fly low due to air density, ‘t’must be around Mach1.3/1.4), ManPADS max speed… Read more »

They already have! All the Qaher-1 ballistic missiles they shoot at saudi camps are S-75 Dvina (Sa-2 Guideline) SAMs they converted… With seriously upgraded seekers and vectoring thrust, they may be reactivated as SAMs with an efficient behaviour but range ain’t enough to cover the base from SEAD, anyway, Saudi strikes against civilians are good for PR and useless against Yemeni army while launching a ballistic missile like Qahir-1 (with a 250km range!) against a KSA camp, waking a 300, maybe even 450/500kg of frag warhead with a 50/60m precision and a kill radius of +200m will be a real… Read more »
