DAMASCUS, SYRIA (9:10 P.M.) – Russian choppers and jets have followed the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) every step of the way during the latter’s massive offensive through central Syria that had government forces relieve the besieged SAA garrison at Deir Ezzor city earlier today in a remarkable turn of events, marking the beginning of the end for ISIS.
The following brand new footage shows the SAA moving eastwards along the main highway leading to Deir Ezzor. Russian sorties also depicting hitting a number of Islamic State positions:
A large number of armored vehicles are depicted in battle, suggesting the SAA’s High Command to have put the liberation of Deir Ezzor as their number one military priority.
Next up, the SAA hopes to reach and lift the siege of Deir Ezzor Airbase. This pocket has been fully encircled by ISIS since January; effectively, jihadist forces maintain a strong defensive line around the airstrip which can only be broken through by daring mechanized pincers.
