Aleppo, Syria – Video footage emerged on Tuesday showing Russian sappers clearing explosives and booby-traps in the southwestern districts of Syria’s industrial capital. Following almost three weeks of mine-clearing operations, the Russian units have almost concluded their work in Aleppo.
Igor Mikhailik, Head of International Mine Action Centre, stated, “Russian sappers are finishing the demining of the South-Western part of Aleppo, today we are working in one of the districts where we found a large quantity of bombs, shells and mortar shells of industrial manufacturing.”
