BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:30 A.M.) – Video footage (below) has been released showing Russian military police units taking position of weapons and ammunition handed over by recently surrendered Syrian rebel fighters.

Specifically, the loot comes from the stockpiles of militant groups that until their complete surrender to government forces in mid-April were operating out of Syria’s eastern Qalamoun region.

A range of weapons and assorted ammunition – some of it build and or from NATO countries – is presented in the footage including .50 caliber ammunition, mortar shells and even Yugoslav-made M79 Osa rocket launchers.

Previous video footage of the arms handed over by eastern Qalamoun rebels shows that they also possessed more sophisticated infantry support weapons like the US-built TOW and West European-built MILAN anti-tank systems.

SAA uses Milans, these were bought by daddy-Assad from France, same for Gazelle armed choppers. Roaches seized these Milans from SAA depots as these were only delivered to YPG and Peshmergas so none went to Qalamoun. Saudi Arabia bought 15,000 TOW and 750 launchers from Raytheon in 2014. Strange that nobody talks about Russian or Chinese weapons while roaches have a plentiful stockpile of these, including ATGMs like the Sagger etc etc etc… Actually, it’s clear that it’s the al-Saoud purchase of thousands of TOWs that makes that this horrible war is now lasting for longer than WW2 and it… Read more »
