Latakia, Syria (5:30 A.M.) – The Syrian Armed Forces launched a new offensive in the northeastern countryside of Latakia on Monday, targeting the key town of Kabbani in the Jabal Al-Akrad region.

However, day 1 of this massive offensive did not go as planned for the Syrian Armed Forces, as they were repelled by the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) at the Zuwayqat Mountains.

Following the withdrawal of the Syrian Armed Forces on Monday night, the Russian Air Force emerged above Kabbani to weaken the jihadist resolve and pave the way for a new ground assault for the government units.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
