DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:40 P.M.) – This evening, Russia unleashed its fiercest bombardment on northern Hama as airstrikes completely obliterated a number of rebel-held positions in the towns of Souran, Taibat Al-Imam, Halfaya and Lataminah.

A military source told Al-Masdar News that the air raids were conducted by a total of five Russian warplanes and two choppers that continuously returned to pound the Islamist strongholds with barely minutes in-between.

At least 50 Russian sorties were conducted beginning on Saturday morning, utilizing what appears to be a previously unused type of bomb, causing massive destruction in its wake.

The Russian bombardment is supposedly retalition for a massacre commited by an unknown rebel faction that killed over 75 Shi’ite civilians whom were in the process of being evacuated from Fuah, a government enclave on the outskirts of Idlib city.

Souran, Halfaya and Taibat Al-Imam are expected to be the target of an upcoming Syrian Arab Army (SAA) ground offensive. Notably, Latamineh witnessed the most intense bombardment today; this town has long served as a gathering point for jihadist fighters to launch attacks on government-held areas of Hama province.

  1. It appears that Russia is rather pissed off with the duplicitous games of the US/NATO /Turkish sponsors of terror. I hope we see many more attacks with even greater destructive power. Even a FOAB or two used on the Turkish terror command bunkers.

This war needs to be bought to a successful conclusion in the fight against US sponsored terror.

The murder of the Shia civilians leaving occupied Idlib will forever be a bloody stain on the US for her years of support for the ‘moderate terrorists’.

    • You seem to charge everything on the US 1st and Turkey 2nd while the 1st, 2nd and 3rd to be responsible of all this mess are definitively Qatar, KSA then Turkey. You also understate UK’s interaction which’s as serious as the US one , hey, the US Tomahawk strike came after a White Helmet bias and WH is an UK creation… Tony Blair, get out of Theresa May’s body! And I wouldn’t be too surprised it’s more made on Saudi/Qatari money than anything else
NATO sponsoring? Where are they? NATO’s already on budget! Countries are supposed to put 2% of GDP in military expenses, I think only US do. NATO ain’t a political entity. Do you think Greece, Latvia, Portugal, Romania or Bulgaria are able to sponsor anything? They already have a hard time to sponsor themselves.
Now some countries may seem to back the SHTF while not interacting ‘coz you’re SURE that if you at least not give the impression to support, you’ll get terror attacks on your soil! Oh, it surely won’t come from your US/UK ‘allies’ but look at the rats around and don’t forget that KSA possesses 7% of the USA…
Things are not as simple as black or white, this is not boolean and no matter the side they are on, there are NO good guys implied (but some are totally evil and not forcedly those you think about first, i.e. : does Qatar speaks or makes noise? They’re the worst of all!)

      • @ Daeshbag,
As an example, Bulgaria IS involved in aiding terrorists, which the UN regards as illegal by the way.
Bulgaria make many munitions for old Soviet era weapons and amazingly they find their way via Turkey to the head choppers in Syria that are armed with these weapons sold from ex Warsaw Pact countries and of course Libya.

=> Simply thermobarics, not the size of MOAB/FOAB but something already serious, probably the 500kg one
