At least 8 militants were killed today as Russian fighter jets conducted airstrikes against rebel positions in Al-Lataminah; a village in northern Hama countryside and the hotbed of Jaysh al-Izza rebel group.
Pro-rebel accounts on social media claimed that all the killed were civilians working in a construction site.
Local activists reported that the airstrikes also hit the rebel-held villages of Taibat al-Imam, al-Tamana’a, Sukayk and Maarrat Misrin.
The FSA-affiliated Jaysh al-Izza was among a coalition of jihadi groups which massively attacked the Syrian Army in the northern countryside of Hama.
During the offensive, rebels captured several towns and villages, forcing the government force to retreat.
