BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:50 P.M.) – The Russian Aerospace Forces (RuAF) have recently delivered a number of precision strikes throughout the countryside surrounding the strategic town of al-Sukhnah in the Homs Governorate, destroying key military infrastructures belonging to ISIS. Footage of these airstrikes has now been released to the public.

Reports say that the airstrikes targeted and destroyed (as can clearly be seen in the video) several ISIS weapons depots and command centers.

The exact time of the airstrikes shown in the video below are unknown, although it is quite likely the case that they were carried out in just the last 24 hours. This is because the Russian Ministry of Defence is known to release military footage within a day of its recording.

That these kind of strategic airstrikes are now taking place in the area of al-Sukhnah indicates that pro-government forces on the ground are most probably ready to undertake the final assault to liberate the town from ISIS.

The town of al-Sukhnah represents the last ISIS stronghold in Homs Governorate and, as of now, pro-government forces are making a concerted push on the town from both the west and the north.
