A Peshmerga commander speaking to a Rudaw reporter has said that the Kurdish forces will no longer participate in the Mosul liberation operation as commanded by President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani.

Although the Popular Mobilization Units and Peshmerga announced they will not paricipate in the battle of Mosul city, the Peshmerga have announced they will not progress further than Bashiqa, despite many kilometers till the outskirts of Mosul.

Most controversially however are bulldozers digging trenches and outlining the borders of the Kurdistan region from the rest of Iraq. This is of concern to the government of Baghdad who sees these moves as a push from separatism from the Iraqi state.

Why should we use the language of the imperium? English will not remain the world language forever, it’s decline goes parallel with the decline of the US.

This is an English language site, why on Earth would you want to use any other language??? It’s bizarre. English may not remain the world’s language forever but it is now (hint hint) and it will be for a very long time, so accept it, deal with it, and use it (without complaint).

The pidgin here is based on English. But it does not matter what language the site. Free speech includes the choice of language. So IMHO it is simply rude and imperialistic to shout at someone because he cannot use the pidgin.

If his English isn’t good enough to type a barely understandable comment then how could he read the article? The article which determines what he’s going to type? That doesn’t make sense.

Reading an article needs much less skill than writing. 🙂

Peshmerga only care if it’s Kurds in there, NOT Christians or Arabs. I know it’s an inconvenient truth for the Christians in the west but it’s true like it or not. Assyrian lives matter too.

It was clear from the actions on the field , that ISIS , Turkey & Barzani are in collusion , directed and orchestrated by the visible long arm of the Americans : the Barzanistas did not really have to fight hard , ISIS got an order to put up a token fight and withdraw from their occupied areas in the East, as they did in Jarablus. The Turks & the Barzanistas use the ”fight against terrorism” as a pretext to create ”facts on the ground”. The purpose of the Americans is to expel the Christians from their ancestral lands ,… Read more »
