BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 A.M.) – Video footage has been released by Lebanon’s Ministry of National Defense showing a large number of Lebanese Army mechanized units being rushed towards the front-line against ISIS in the north of the Levantine country.

The footage is linked to an ongoing operation by Lebanese Army forces to cleanse ISIS militants from the mountainous countryside of the Jaroud Arsal and Jaroud Ras Balbak regions.

As can be seen in the footage, virtually all of the mechanized units are various types of the American-built M113 armored personnel carrier, including the standard troop transport derivative as well as fire support versions mounting twin-barrelled 23-mm ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns.
