Around noon today, Islamist rebels recaptured Tall Haddadeh which was otherwise captured by government troops during the morning hours.

A joint unit of Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic Front fighters could be seen gradually climbing up the hill; once they reached the hill top, their fighters pulled down a Syrian flag which was hoisted by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) this morning.

Footage from the recapture can be seen here:

Clashes are now ongoing with the SAA calling in airstrikes to prevent the Islamist insurgents from establishing themselves on the hill which overlooks Turkey and much of its border.

It is just Western ignorance calling Islam with a more fmailiar (to them) ending. How about starting Christianism?, Judaism is already there,, too late. The Pope is now a christianist.

Your actually wrong on a few things.
Islamist means someone who wants to implement Islam into politics and social order. The name was actually made by Arab nationalist whom opposed the Muslim brotherhood and its followers in the 90’s. So Islamist(Arabic: islameen ) is different than Islamic(arabic:islami) which is somewhat of a descriptive noun.

How about Sunni Islamist to be more precise.
1. A group that wants to establish Sunni, Silafist, Sharia law throughout the entire country.
2. A group that wants to ensure that only Sunni, Silafist, observers are able to rule in govt.
