DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:40 P.M.) – Upon observing army movements, Ahrar Al-Sham fired multiple rockets at buildings defended by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the embattled Jamiet Al-Zahraa suburb of western Aleppo.
Recording it all on camera, the Islamist group unleashed a number of recoilless SPG-9 shells on SAA-held buildings, purportedly destroying a machine gun position.
One SAA soldier could even be observed moving a sandbag in place at a gun hole and responding fire, resulting in brief skirmishes between the warring parties:
Although Aleppo city is entirely under government control, sporadic clashes continue on a daily basis on the western outskirts of the provincial capital.
