Meanwhile, the Iraqi Army imposed full control over Mosul International Airport earlier today. This highly significant advance was led by Lieutenant General Raed Shaker Jawdat, commander-in-chief of the Federal Police Forces.
Yesterday, the 26th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) liberated the town of As-Sahaji; this is the area believed to have been targeted by ISIS militants in the above video.
In related news, preliminary reports suggest Iraq’s special forces have captured Camp Ghazlani moments ago. Al-Masdar News cannot yet verify the latter claim. This key military base is located in southern Mosul.
