DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:55 P.M.) – Huge quantities of weapons, ammunition as well as equipment previously used by the Islamic State have been captured by the Syrian Army in central Syria.
The seized arsenal was exposed in the town of Aqirbat of eastern Hama countryside while the government forces were mopping up the area.
Once a major stronghold for the terror group in central Syria, Aqirbat had fallen to the Syrian Army after fierce battles with the jihadi militants.
The arsenal included ammunition, sophisticated warheads, IED workshop, vehicles and tanks. Most of the shown vehicles have been destroyed by airstrikes that propelled the ground invasion.
