DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:00 A.M.) – The Turkish Armed Forces have reportedly drawn up plans to capture the Kurdish-held town of Tall Abyad and bring it under rebel control in a cross-border offensive comparable to the Euphrates Shield offensive last year.

Amateur footage emerged on Thursday, purportedly showing a large rebel convoy driving towards the Kurdish border town from the Jarabulus pocket through Turkish territory.

The Turkish Army has also amassed thousands of soldiers on its southern border, possibly regrouping to lead the Tall Abyad offensive. In the past 48 hours, Kurdish guided missiles have destroyed 5 tank, angering Ankara and causing concern in Washington.

Turkish troops have not yet been given the green light to launch the incursion upon Kurdish-held territory of northern Syria although the large-scale operation may begin in the days to come. 13 Turkish border posts came under fire from Kurdish militants on Thursday alone, a military statement claimed.

Al-Masdar News could not independently verify the authenticity of the video above.

This is good. The Turks keep the Kurds busy. It gives the Syrian army time to reach raqqa. Then they have cause to reclaim north east Syria to rid it of FSA. Then the SAA can be in control of all of Syria. Instead of the plan to split it

Turkey in a few hours or days will enter in Syria for the second time with hundreds or thousands of soldiers without any respect and nor the slightest fear for the greater ally of Syria, Russia, the second military power of the world.
What exactly Russia will get for its inaction caused by an unfounded fear of starting a nuclear war?
Respect and praises for his patience and passivity? No and never.
The only thing that Russia will get is being trampled by any friend or ally of the americans, in Syria and in any other part of the world.

russia is not as strong as you seem to believe – they have to act very carefully – the goatfuckers are syria’s problem in the first place, and i’m confidedent the syrian secular powers will prevail – if they cooperate.

Syria’s main problems are the zionist regime and the US deep state, which created, funded, trained and armed these useful idiot terrorists against the people of the Mideast.

Terry : Russia ain’t the 2nd world military power, it’s the 2nd nuclear power. This is pretty different. What happens has nothing to see with fear and only idiots can promote the use of nukes in case of your country isn’t cornered : consequences simply go much further than the damages only. f**k, we already have enough a hard time to convince US and China to reduce the way they are polluting, plutonium is even worst than anthrax just as a poison, not even counting its 24,000 years radioactive half-life so, frankly, only some totally unconscious moron would overlook what… Read more »

The rebels will face the same resistance as Daesh found in Kobani. Raqqa offensive will be halted but hopefully Tabqa offensive will continue untill the took that whole area.

CENTCOM is already furious about Turkish behaviour. Now, decisions are up to Washington but it’s clear that Erdolf is pissing everybody off. Now also remember that Kurds have strong support from the EU, even if it may seem stealthier.

Turkey is a US puppet state. Washington and Tel Aviv will never act against their puppet as they still need him to carry out their dirty work. Anything else is just posturing and simulation to fool the naive.

It is neither or both if you want.
Bothe arab and kurdish but also, a lot of minorities like armenian christians with the beautiful church of the cross the most famous site.
And none of them are famous for their love for the turks
