DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:45 P.M.) – A massive blast ripped through the jihadi-controlled city of Idlib, killing an injuring scores and further exacerbating the already-tense situation.
A car bomb exploded near the military court (formerly the Syrian Central Bank building) of the al-Qaeda-linked Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in a time the terror group braces itself for the potential onslaught by the Syrian Army.
The explosion killed at least 18 people; 10 of them are HTS militants (of which 4 are foreign jihadists), and injured scores others including civilians.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the car bomb.
However, ISIS is the first to blame following the its huge losses incurred due to crackdown by rival HTS group.
The notorious White Helmets members were seen in the footage that captured the first moments after the blast.
As first responders, the White Helmets work closely with internationally-recognized groups such as Jabhet al-Nusra.
