BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:30 A.M.) – At 2:00 A.M. (Damascus Time) tonight, the Syrian Air Defense fired a surface-to-air missile from the Mezzeh Airport in west Damascus towards a possible unmanned aircraft (UAV) near the Golan Heights border.

Video footage of this missile strike was released by Damascus Now News; it shows the moment of impact over west Damascus.

The Syrian military has yet to state what the missile struck; however, some preliminary reports indicate that the target was either a UAV or missile.
