DAMASCUS, SYRIA (6:45 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah and Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary), engaged in a series of intense clashes with the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) on Sunday, resulting in a high death toll for all parties involved in this battle.
Among the most violent battles to take place on Sunday was the jihadist assault at the 1070 Housing Project in the southwestern corridor of Aleppo.
Jaysh Al-Fateh repeatedly stormed the 1070 Housing Project, searching for a fracture to expose in the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses in the northern sector of this imperative district.
Finally, after more than 8 hours of nonstop fighting, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah were able to route the remaining Jaysh Al-Fateh militants in the northern sector of the 1070 Housing Project.
Video footage of this battle was captured by Hezbollah’s official media wing on Sunday:
As of 12:00 A.M. (Damascus Time), the 1070 Housing Project has been relatively quiet; however, the battle is set to resume in the coming hours, as the jihadist rebels look to lift the siege on east Aleppo.
