BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) – Footage, released by the Russian Ministry of Defence, reportedly shows cruise missiles being launched from the Mediterranean Sea, before striking targets of Al-Nusra in the Idlib region, Friday.

The cruise missiles were launched from ‘Veliki Novgorod’ submarine of the Black Sea Fleet as a part of the military operation in the Mediterranean Sea. The airstrikes targeted Jabhat al-Nusra group positioned in Idlib province, according Igor Konashenkov, Chief Spokesman for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

The group previously attacked Russian military police platoon in de-escalation zone in northern Hama.
