BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued their field operations recently in the southeastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate as they look to clear the last Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) pocket east of the Euphrates.

Since capturing the key town of Hajin, the Syrian Democratic Forces have been working to clear much of the area around the former Islamic State stronghold.

The Syrian Democratic Forces have been trying to clear the Islamic State militants that have entrenched themselves east of Hajin.

However, the battle east of Hajin is proving incredibly costly as the Islamic State refuses to yield their last areas to the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Below is a video of the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) advancing against the Islamic State forces near the key town of Hajin:
