BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:35 A.M.) – The Israeli Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes over the Mezzeh Airbase in west Damascus tonight, destroying an ammunition depot while causing a series of explosions around this military installation.

According to Israeli media reports, the fighter jet that carried out this mission was an F-35; this is the first time that these Israelis have used this aircraft against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

Video footage of the Israeli airstrikes was captured by an Al-Masdar field correspondent that was approximately 500 meters from the Mezzeh Airbase when the attack occurred.

The death toll from the Israeli airstrikes tonight is still unknown; however, a senior officer from the Syrian Arab Army told Al-Masdar News that it is not expected to be very high because there was not a large presence of soldiers near the ammunition depot.

    • It’s already too late

The only abomination would be the result of your genocidal projects.
“Politics is the choice between the bad and the worse.”-Otto von Bismarck
You should meditate it : all the options you suggest are always the worse : blowing a non-nucleat 38 kilotons device in a Saoudi harbour with just 73k inhabitants, destroying a country with 8.5M ppl which moreover is the 4th world nuclear power with 5 (very soon 6) nuclear armed submarines.
Well, if their arsenal may not, as the US or Russian ones, be able to obliterate the planet at once, at least you may have found the solution to global warming : Nuclear winter!
Seriously, they’re only 25k km² big if you consider Judea and Samaria in with 8.5M ppl and 4.5M squatters that pretend -only since 1967- the land is their although it has never been an Arab area, even the Koran says it’s their land so give them a break but, moreover, give a break to the planet : attacking them has already been the reason for thousands dying uselessly just on the behalf of Arab nationalism and idiots saying it’s on the behalf of Koran as Nasrallah says while Koran says the contrary.
Nasrallah has just to stop trying to destroy them to have such actions to stop.

    • Do you really want a nuclear war? Because it’s what will happen if you try to do it!
They’re at the same level as France on this matter and they have submarines and silos to launch these too, not only airplanes with cruise missile!
      The only solution is PEACE!
Both Jordan and Egypt have a peace treaty where they really committed themselves in and have no problem with Israel, actually, it’s even the contrary, Israelis help them unless fringes of their population still are very into wanting to destroy their neighbour.
Ahmedinijad nearly led Iran in a war against Israel. Iran has simply no means to succeed at it and is nowhere near to be.

      “Arrogant bastards…”
=> Depriving a militia that vows to genocide your ethnicity of its means to do so is not being arrogant, it’s what you have to do in such a case. Would Nasrallah stop wanting to destroy them and thus to smuggle advanced weaponry into Lebanon, this wouldn’t happen.
BTW, there wasn’t a single death, only 6 injured and when you think it was a missile depot, it’s not too bad.

“and where is Russia to return fire?”
      => Nowhere near to happen!

The more I know Putin, the more I like him : we really share the same kind of approach of matters, history, goals and geopolitics.

What is very likely to happen : at the end of the war, Iran will drop Nasrallah and Hezbollah is gonna be integrated as a regular unit in Lebanese army or SAA or divided between both and the most fanatics who will refuse, well… Just think about the Imad Mughniyah’s son who was already seen as the future HB leader. He’s not the sole hard-liner to have disappeared.
Let’s be clear : if HB is for sure useful in Syria now, they’re also a serious millstone in Iran’s foreign relations. In Lebanon, it’s not so appreciated that a militia acts independently from the state and frankly, you can easily assume that Assad is also willing to have HB under Syrian control instead of Nasrallah/Khamenei. Let’s face reality : the soonest Iranian mullah will be back in their mosques and out of politics, the better it’ll be and for Iran first as they have no legitimity : hey, with only 2% of Iranians intending the Friday prayers in mosques, they’re on par with the known less religious country on Earth : Estonia! Even North-Korea has more religious people unless religion is forbidden! Sectarian ruling/political interfering has to be defused in the region unless we want the MENA go on in its downward spiral.

  1. Siria debe buscar el pronunciamiento de la ONU, el gobierno Sionista no solamente arma terroristas también ataca de manera directa desde el Sur mientras que por el Norte hace lo mismo Turquía.

    • Syria always refused to sign a peace treaty with Israel. Legally speaking, they’re still at war, thus, both are entitled to strike military targets, thus, it was a Hezbollah arms depot that was struck. It could be interesting to see the UN reaction while the founding act of HB, although they were still known as “Organisation of Islamic Jihad” at the time, was… Killing 301 UN Blue Helmets in 2 minutes using two truck-VBIEDs with massive explosives amounts (9.5t and 2.5t). For sure the UN will help!

  2. According to intelligence sources, it was a storage of Fateh-110 missiles that were in transit from Iran to Hezbollah and up to be moved into Lebanon…
There is no official confirmation on the Israeli side thus, targetting missiles transfers to HB in Lebanon is typical as they perfectly know that HB will attack them with these. HB having the destruction of their country in their charter, if they were about to transfer these missiles in Lebanon, this strike makes sense as usually, they let HB operating into Syria as long as they don’t intend such transfer.

The use of F-35 seem VERY dubious for me! Some source says 3 were used BUT Israel received only two and only 2 weeks ago, moreover, F-35 is far to be finished! At the moment, it only managed to drop laser guided bombs for test purposes and can carry no more than 2 bombs and 2 AMRAAM A2A missiles at once, systems crash every 4 hours and they don’t even need to enter Syrian airspace to target something in Damascus as a guided bomb with a booster is on range if dropped without even crossing the border, thus, F-35 still has neither been tested with boosted guided bombs nor with A2G missiles and it is said that 3 rockets fell. I smell serious bullshitting…

According to other sources, G2G rockets were shot from the Tyberiad lake viscinity
It makes much more sense for me : You don’t risk 2 150M$ aircraft while still on trial. IMHO F-35 won’t see any action until 2019 if not 2020-2023 : there are still too much development problems
