BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:35 A.M.) – On Sunday, elite assault units of the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces Division swept through the rebel stronghold town of Mudayrah in Damascus’ East Ghouta region.
For an entire day, elite Syrian troops and armor engaged the rebel defenders of Mudayrah in accordance with the now well-tested strategy of first seizing the farmland areas around the town before storming the stronghold itself.
Mudayrah’s fall to government forces marked a critical point in the Syrian Army’s East Ghouta offensive for it saw the splitting of rebel-controlled territories across the region into two.
Muraselon News released footage on its website showing Tiger Forces troops and armor moving through Mudayrah following its capture by the Syrian Army.
