BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 A.M.) – Israeli-backed jihadists of Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda affiliate) chapter in West Ghouta have engaged and destroyed two Syrian Arab Army tanks with anti-tank missile fire.

The countryside of West Ghouta has been the site of major battles over this last week with pro-government forces attempting to overrun an Al-Qaeda’s Beit Jinn stronghold in the region.

Although achieving some success at first, pro-government forces endured heavy losses in armor and, after coming under attack from Israeli warplanes (who were acting in direct support of the jihadists), were pushed to completely withdraw from their gains.

Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham released a video two days ago showing their forces knocking out 2 Syrian Army tanks with 9M113 Konkurs anti-tank guided missile systems during the course of the battle.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
