The bodies of at least 74 refugees were found on the shore off the Libyan city of Zawiya on Tuesday, according to the Libyan Red Crescent.
A damaged rubber boat, designed for 120 people was found near the site where the bodies were discovered.
The Libyan Red Crescent stated the number of victims could rise, but the other passengers of the boat have not been found yet.
The bodies of the deceased are expected to be buried at a cemetery for unidentified people in Tripoli. The humanitarian workers have posted a photo of those who drowned to establish their identities.
