Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro accused the White House of plotting to assassinate him and to ‘destabilise’ the country, speaking at a press conference in Caracas on Wednesday.
Maduro claimed that the United States is seeking to install a dictatorship in the south-american country, alleging that the US national security adviser, John Bolton, is in charge of a plan to “fill Venezuela with violence.”
He also said that calling the recent military training drills held with Russia a “waste of money” is an act of “immorality”.
Last year, US President Donald Trump told to the press there were “many options” to resolve the Venezuelan crisis, including a military one.
