BEJRUT, Liban (9:30) – Veliki broj pojačanja iz Sirijske Arapske Armije (SAA) doputovao je iz istočnog sela Al-Sveida na periferiju Palmire kako bi učestvovali u narednoj ofanzivi prema Deir Ez Zoru, javili su lokalni novinari u subotu.

Nekoliko bataljona 1. oklopne divizije Sirijske Arapske Armije prešlo je kratak put od Al-Sveide do Palmire u subotu posle naređenja Vrhovne komande zbog novog cilja u centralnoj Siriji.

Pojačanja će biti koncentrisana duž autoputa Palmira-Deir Ez Zor, sa zadatkom da pomognu 5. korpus i 18. diviziju u pokušaju da se protera snage tkzv. islamske države iz ovog pustinjskog regiona.

Među pojačanjima nema specijalnih snaga ali je 1. oklopna jedna od najviše borbeno testiranih jedinica u celoj vojsci, pa će njihovo borbeno iskustvo sigurno isplatiti dividende u budućim bitkama.
