BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 P.M.) – US President Donald Trump held a press conference with the Emir of Kuwait Amir al-Sabah at the White House in Washington DC, Thursday.

He used the moment to comment on al-Sabah’s allegation that the Syrian army is using chemical weapons. Trump said, “I haven’t heard what you just said, but I find that a little bit difficult to believe. But nothing would change. We would be extremely upset if he [Syrian President Bashaar al-Assad] was using chemical weapons.”

However, the president then went on to imply that Assad was not a concern for the USA, as they are only engaging in the Syrian conflict to wipe out the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). He said, “As far as Syria’s concerned, we have very little to do with Syria other than killing ISIS. What we do is we kill ISIS. And we have succeeded in that respect.”

Trump also offered himself as a mediator in settling the Gulf crisis, saying, “If I can help mediate between Qatar and in particular the UAE and Saudi Arabia, I would be willing to do so. And I think you’d have a deal worked out very quickly. I think it’s something that’s going to get solved fairly easily.”

“I do believe we’ll solve it. If we don’t solve it, I will be a mediator right here in the White House. We’ll come together very quickly, I think we’ll have something solved,” he added.

SOT, Donald Trump, President of the United States (English): “If I can help mediate between Qatar and in particular the UAE and Saudi Arabia, I would be willing to do so. And I think you’d have a deal worked out very quickly. I think it’s something that’s going to get solved fairly easily. Kuwait has been really the leader of getting it solved and we appreciate that very much. But I do believe we’ll solve it. If we don’t solve it, I will be a mediator right here in the White House. We’ll come together very quickly, I think we’ll have something solved.”

SOT, Donald Trump, President of the United States (English): “As far as the chemical weapons, I find it hard to believe that after what we did the last time, that Assad would do that again. I haven’t heard what you just said, but I find that a little bit difficult to believe. But nothing would change. We would be extremely upset if he was using chemical weapons. As far as Syria’s concerned, we have very little to do with Syria other than killing ISIS. What we do is we kill ISIS. And we have succeeded in that respect. We have done better in eight months of my presidency than the previous eight years against ISIS.”

SOT, Donald Trump, President of the United States (English): “And each day new equipment is delivered, new and beautiful equipment, the best in the world, the best anywhere in the world by far. Hopefully we’re not going to have to use it on North Korea. If we do use it on North Korea, it will be a very sad day for North Korea.”

Trump is either an ignorant and uninformed fool with regard to Syria and the US involvement with terrorism or he is a liar.

No Donald, the US is not just killing IS, the US is slaughtering as many civilians as they can, all the while destroying as much infrastructure as possible. Then there is the matter of ferrying IS ‘commanders’ out of harms way. If these so-called commanders were simply Arab/Muslim combatants, they’d be left to die, like any other fodder. No, more than likely they are US, European and Israeli service men that have zero morality and kill whoever master tells them to: Civilians, Syrian forces, Hezbollah…whoever. One day there will be an accidental downing of one of these rescue flights and… Read more »
